e-Works LLC, along with other Armenian companies from various spheres participated in “Build Your Future Today: Education, Employment, Economy” youth career fair, which took place on May 22, 2011 in Armenia Marriott Hotel. The fair was organized by Republican Union of Employers of Armenia in partnership with the State Employment Service Agency (SESA), USAID Pension and Labor Market Reform (PALM) Project, and the Youth Career Orientation Center of the Ministry of Labor and Social Issues.
The motto of the event was “Build Your Future Today”. The major objective of the event was to guide youth through labor market, to help learn which careers are in demand, how to become marketable in the labor market and where to acquire new skills. During the event the employers presented to the young people not only the available vacancies, but offers to pass internship, have short-term work, and develop professional skills.
Our company participated in the fair with several new job openings offering a challenging and rewarding career for highly qualified and career-oriented specialists as well as internship opportunities for the promising students. During the fair over 100 applications were submitted by the visitors for the vacant places and internship opportunities offered by e-Works.
The youth career fair was unprecedented in its nature. Not only it was the first time such an event was being organized in Yerevan that catered to youth with a unique and important message, but it had also been a catalyst for more than 100 employers and academic institutions to join together to offer a day of targeted support to the Armenian youth to think about their future in terms of education, employment and Armenia’s economy.
The fair offered a great opportunity to young people of all ages to meet with employers and learn which careers are in demand or will be highly sought after in the near future. More than 4000 young people attended the fair.
The participation in the Youth Career Fair was of course an excellent and mutually beneficial practice for both companies and job-seekers and the first step for the future cooperation.
